Collated below are some generic Stratocaster setup numbers as they would likely come from the Fender factory and and also the settings for the infamous Black Strat that i used.
Note:
- 1st string – High E – Treble Side
- 6th string – Low E – Bass Side
/Basic Fender Stratocaster Setup
Pickups
Hold string down at last fret ( 21 or 22 ).
- 2mm – Treble Side ( Volume / Tone Pot Side )
- 2.4mm – Bass Side
Nut Slot Height
Hold string at 3rd fret.
- 0.4572mm – Between String and Fret
/Gilmour Black Strat

Pickups
Hold string down at last fret ( 21 or 22 ).
Neck
- 1.25mm – Treble Side ( Volume / Tone Pot Side )
- 2.8mm – Bass Side
Middle
- 1.7mm – Treble Side ( Volume / Tone Pot Side )
- 2.75mm – Bass Side
Bridge
- 1.25mm – Treble Side ( Volume / Tone Pot Side )
- 2.75mm – Bass Side
Neck
- Relief at 9th Fret 0.13mm
Action at 12th Fret
- Set from 1.8mm on the Low E to 1.6mm on the High E
Nut Slot Height
Hold string at 3rd fret.
- 0.5mm – Between String and Fret Bass Side
- 0.25mm – Between String and Fret Treble Side
Bridge Tremolo
- Set 1.5mm off the body.
